The Adventures of Mr Toad (2003)
Ever wondered what's on the other side of the Riverbank? A whole fantastic world awaits you, full of happy dancing animals, some crazy characters and evil weasels, all ready to tell you the tale of The Adventures of Mr Toad. This year's Junior School musical was an incredible adventure for everyone who got involved, all working together to create a wonderful and professional theatre production that we are all very proud of. With almost 100 students in the cast, and many more involved backstage, painting, ushering and in the orchestra, it really was a great team effort!
With the vocal leadership of Ms Baldwin, orchestral direction of Mr Mowat, the impressive choreography of Miss Woodward and the creative direction of Mr Burch the cast had heaps of fun singing, dancing and acting to toe-tapping tunes of this fun-filled show-particularity the evil weasels who certainly convinced the audience how mean and nasty they could be!
Congratulations must go to the main cast for their enthusiasm and skill- not only were they terrific on stage they were great to work with backstage with lots of laughs to be had! Special thanks must go to Ms Des Barres for her incredible costumes and Tony Scanlon and Rachel Baker for the set design - it wouldn't have looked as magical without them! So as another Junior School Play draws to a triumphant close we eagerly await next year's show - which will be bigger and brighter than ever! We look forward to seeing you there!
